Traditional Tae Kwon Do
Tae Kwon Do is the most popular Korean martial art. It was officially founded by General Choi in 1955. Since then Tae Kwon Do has exploded in popularity and is practiced all around the world. In general, the art focuses on kicks thrown from a mobile stance. Training also consists of a variety of hand striking techniques and blocks, but usually will not emphasize grappling.

Literally translated, Tae Kwon Do means "The way of kicking and punching."
